Shishiou supposedly came to Minamoto no Yorimasa as an imperial gift after the legendary archer took down a nue that'd been terrorizing the palace. He's still deeply loyal to Yorimasa and tends to mix up the Saniwa with his old master, calling them "old man" by mistake.
