Ian Vashti is a bespectacled technician and engineer for Celestial Being's mobile suit program. He's best known for keeping the Gundams and the Ptolemaios ship running—basically the backbone of the operation's mechanical side. In the early series, he's the one who shows up to deliver new equipment to the Meisters and handles all the repairs aboard the ship.
Four years into the conflict, Ian gets involved in a conversation with Wang Liu Mei and Hong Long about the Gundam 0, where he explains that its GN Drive won't work with the Gundam 00. He's curious whether Exia's drive might be compatible instead.
Before joining Celestial Being, Ian was actually part of the AEU military and had a close friendship with Joyce Moreno—they both made the jump to Celestial Being together. He sticks around for the second season and brings his daughter Mileina into the picture.
