Professor Jumba is the mad scientist alien who created Stitch, and he's basically stuck babysitting his own creation after the Galactic Council decides that's his punishment. He lives with Yuna and her grandmother Obaa.
What's interesting about Jumba in this version is how much softer he's become compared to the original films—he's actually pretty friendly here, and the whole "evil genius" thing isn't really his main personality trait anymore. He still tinkers and invents stuff, but he's lost most of that sinister edge he used to have.
