Shino is one of the Shinigami stationed to guard Karakura Town after replacing Zennosuke Kurumadani in that role.

Personality:
Brash and tomboyish, Shino doesn't hold back—she yells when she has something to say and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's always trying to toughen up her partner Ryunosuke, insisting he stop being so timid and soft. She's also incredibly sensitive about her flat chest and will punch anyone who makes a crack about it.
The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc:
On their first day assigned to Karakura Town, Shino tracks down a groggy, disoriented Ryunosuke and slaps him awake. When he admits he's nervous about the job, she tells him to toughen up—he's got her watching his back, isn't that enough? He's not convinced. Things escalate when Ryunosuke jokes about her having no chest to show off, earning him a punch in the face for his trouble.
After Kurumadani drops them off in the Human World, Shino heads north while Ryunosuke goes south on patrol. It doesn't take long before Hollows ambush her, and Ryunosuke finds her already in their grasp. Ichigo shows up and saves them both, though Ryunosuke ends up badly injured and sleeps for two days straight. When he finally wakes up, Shino looks relieved—for about a second, before she starts scolding him for taking so long. Later, they watch in confusion as Ichigo kicks some guy named Ivan Azgiaro out a window, neither of them quite sure what that was about.
