Sanae is a former cop who ditched the badge to become an idol—mostly because the Producer talked her into it. She's a shameless flirt with him and can't help but pepper her speech with police jargon. What she really wants is for the other idols to see her as their older sister and call her Onee-sama, which is pretty funny considering she's actually shorter than idols half her age.
She's got serious martial arts credentials: black belts in Aikido, Judo, and Karate. Don't mention her being single around her though—she'll get defensive fast, and when she's upset, she hits the bottle hard.
Her body type works in her favor image-wise. Being short combined with an impressive bust size means her cards love to joke about putting the Producer in handcuffs, locking him up, and conducting an "interrogation"—heavy on the innuendo. Her fashion sense runs toward extremely short dresses with plenty of cleavage on display, and she apparently looks incredible in a swimsuit (though she's been known to wear a child-sized one just for the shock value).
In the Cinderella Girls Gekijou skits, she takes her big-sister aspirations seriously, even training newer idols like Nagisa, Erika, Makino, and Yuriko. It doesn't always come naturally, but she pushes through because earning their trust matters to her. The downside is she'll prioritize others' needs over her own and sometimes end up looking foolish for it. She's also weirdly intimidated by Yukino's fancy tea and ceramics.
Her drinking habit is legendary. She's built a solid crew of drinking buddies in Kaede, Shino, Rei, and Rena, and became friends with Kiyora through their shared love of booze. She once landed a movie role playing an evil mahjong player, which somehow made her a favorite subject for Atsumi to ogle.
