Xylo's basically a disgraced knight doing hero work as punishment. He used to captain the Federated Kingdom's Fifth Order of the Holy Knights until he killed the goddess Senerva—which got him sentenced to the Penal Hero Unit 9004. He's not officially in charge, but he's the one actually calling shots on the battlefield.
In a fight, he throws knives and swords at enemies before triggering his seal compound, which detonates on impact. He can dial the explosion's power up or down by controlling how much luminescence he channels into it. Pretty practical for someone who's spent most of his life swinging a blade.
Personality-wise, he's got a rough edge. Tanned skin, spiky hair, talks to everyone—superiors included—like they're equals or like he doesn't particularly care about rank anymore. Can't imagine why a guy sentenced to become a hero would be especially interested in playing politics.
