Genji Togashi is a first-year student at Otokojuku. His father was a veteran Japanese pilot from World War II. He initially enrolled at the school driven by revenge after his older brother was killed by third-year students—a trauma that defined his early motivations. Though he starts out as a troublemaker with a rebellious streak, Togashi undergoes significant character development throughout the series, eventually becoming the deuteragonist and forming a close friendship with the main character.
