Honoka is a first-year high school student at the same school as Goro and a God Candidate. She's got pretty average grades and athletic ability, though she's cute enough to have picked up some fans around campus—just not enough to really stand out.
Her past is the dark part. She grew up in a genuinely abusive household and carries a dual nature that she hides from everyone. Her little brother Kota was locked in a room by their parents and essentially abandoned to die. Honoka couldn't save him—she was too small to reach the locks. Years later, she stabbed and killed both her parents with a kitchen knife, the same one that serves as the weapon for her ability, "Carnival."
In a moment that speaks to her trauma, when she gets temporarily pulled into a parallel universe where she's young again, she kills them a second time.
