Shifty
A small, hat-shaped alien creature that literally perches on top of Rovian's head. She's basically become part of Rovian's appearance—so much so that what's actually an alien sitting there ends up looking like some kind of witchy wide-brimmed hat to anyone who doesn't know better.
Shifty can see the future, which comes in handy. She uses this ability to tip Rovian off whenever something bad's about to go down, though she doesn't always intervene. It's unclear how reliable her visions are or whether she can actually change what she sees coming, but she's proven useful enough times that Rovian trusts her warnings.
