Chi runs a small shop and happens to be close friends with Akane's mother. When Akane stops by the shop the day before her birthday, things take an unexpected turn—Hippocrates suddenly shows up looking for help. He's desperate to get Akane to come to the wonderland, which apparently needs saving. Chi, not about to let her friend's kid go off on some magical quest alone, decides she's coming too, whether Hippocrates likes it or not.
