Jizō Bosatsu
A bodhisattva who's taken a vow to save all beings trapped in hell. Jizō is best known as the protector of travelers and children who died young, especially those who passed before their parents. Fans and devotees often leave offerings at Jizō statues—toys, coins, sometimes just prayers—treating these roadside figures as a compassionate presence watching over the vulnerable.
