Chigusa is a salaryman of few words, who lives alone. One rainy day, he takes pity on a strange kitten standing in the rain, and brings it home. The next day, Chigusa is surprised to see that the kitten - whom he names "Kedama" - has assumed a humanlike form and wants to repay his kindness by helping around the house. However, despite Kedama's good intentions, Chigusa isn't that open to trusting him.
