Shuuko is Shouko's mom and basically looks like an older version of her daughter—except her personality is that of a teenager who never grew up. She introduces herself to people as "forever 17," which tells you pretty much everything you need to know about her vibe.
Like both her kids, Shuuko is strikingly beautiful. She's the chatty one in the family, which is funny considering her husband Masayoshi and their two kids are all naturally quiet. She constantly jokes about how her family even manages to communicate with each other, since she's usually the only one actually talking.
Before marrying Masayoshi, she went by Shuuko Nimi. School bored her, and she wasn't impressed by him at first—she actually looked down on him. But then she kept catching him doing random things that made her blush and suddenly she was falling for him. The rest is history.
