Madalena comes from Lofty Peak, where her family has guarded the portal to Nadiria for generations. She caught the eye of King Pankraz of Gotha during a visit, and the two married. Things fell apart pretty quickly though—not long after their son was born, Nadiria's forces kidnapped her. Grandmaster Nimzo was behind it, using her bloodline as part of his scheme to break into the world.
Desperate to get her back, Pankraz spent years dragging his young son across the globe, hunting for a legendary hero and the Zenithian gear that might actually give them a fighting chance. By the time the kid was six years old, Pankraz had only managed to track down the Zenithian Sword. Madalena remained missing.
