Biography
After Natsume discovered the Book of Friends and learned about returning youkai names, he encountered Hishigaki and Karikage—two youkais who'd been pursuing him. The story takes a turn when Natsume finds a shrine containing Madara's seal. In the anime, things play out differently: Karikage ends up getting defeated and driven off by Madara rather than having his name returned by Natsume. The manga version gives Karikage a different fate, with Natsume actually returning the youkai's name to him.
