Sharak Sanzou is one of the last surviving Sanzou priests in the Saiyuki universe, and the only female one to appear so far. When the Sanzou Ikkou reaches India in Saiyuki Reload Blast, only three Sanzou remain alive: Sharak herself, Genjou Sanzou, and Ukoku Sanzou (now calling himself Dr. Ni).
Her role centers on guarding the Kouten Scripture. While the text is traditionally said to govern the Unknown and the Infinite, Sharak describes its actual purpose differently—as an instrument of Defense rather than cosmic authority.
