Edo's a pro duelist who shows up at Duel Academy constantly, mostly to call out Judai as a fraud. He claims Judai ripped off his deck ideas and won't let it go. There's definitely something weird going on with his connection to a mysterious figure named Saiou, and he's obsessed with the idea that destiny controls dueling—specifically his destiny to become the next King of Games.
His deck is built around "Destiny Hero" monsters, which are DARK-attribute cards inspired by characters from British literature. Unlike Judai's Heroes, Edo's are all dark-themed and packed with abilities that fundamentally change how matches play out. The designs come from his father, who disappeared before Edo could really get to know him.

This version of Edo is from a parallel universe. He's gone full authoritarian here—he's the military commander running Duel Academy's occupation of Heartland City.
