Himeji is Adachi's former middle school underling who shows up at her high school starting in Volume 3. Back in the day, she earned the nickname "The Bloody Pantheress" as a yankee—basically Hana's right-hand enforcer. She's been completely loyal to Adachi ever since Adachi helped her out and they became friends.
The thing is, while Adachi cleaned up her act and became a decent student, Himeji never really left the delinquent lifestyle behind. She still treats Chiba and Shinagawa like they're her gang members, even though they're not. Her family situation is rough—she's adopted and doesn't get along with them. When she told her adoptive parents she wanted to transfer schools, they threw her out. After she'd crashed on Shinagawa's floor for a bit, Adachi found out and brought her home to stay.
Himeji's got a thing for Shinagawa, and like Hana, her way of thinking is just. weird. The angrier she gets, somehow the cuter everyone finds her. Behind the tough act though, she's secretly a total homebody—she's got a cat she keeps hidden, loves doing housework, and has a bunch of genuinely girly qualities that most people never see.
