Jill Valentine is a veteran S.T.A.R.S. operative and Chris Redfield's partner from the original game. She's best known for her solo mission in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, where she attempts to escape the virus-infected Raccoon City—only to be hunted relentlessly by Nemesis, an experimental B.O.W. created by Umbrella. The creature eventually infects her by implanting a parasitic tendril in her arm, but Jill manages to survive and escape the city with help from Carlos Olivera, a U.B.C.S. soldier she meets along the way. Their final confrontation with Nemesis ends with Jill's victory, though it comes at a cost.
Later, she reunites with Chris in Resident Evil 5. Fans often note the fun costumes available in RE3: Nemesis, including an alternate outfit that dresses Jill as Regina from the Dino Crisis series.
