Akihiko Asai runs the café where Shinichi works. He's also Ami's father, which gives him a front-row seat to the drama unfolding in his own business. Since Hana's basically a permanent fixture whenever Shinichi's on shift, Akihiko and Ami have taken to quietly observing the two of them—curious whether these two will actually do something about the obvious tension between them, or if they'll just keep dancing around each other forever.
