Naoya is a first-year high school student best known for being refreshingly—maybe too refreshingly—straightforward. He doesn't really filter himself regardless of the situation, which has led to some pretty awkward moments. Case in point: he literally asked his girlfriend Saki Saki if it was cool with her if he also dated Minase Nagisa. Yeah, that straightforward.
He's got a selfish streak, obviously, but fans often note that he at least tries to draw the line at two girlfriends. It's a weird kind of restraint, but apparently that's where his principles kick in.
