Atsuko Sasaki—usually just called A-chan—was Katarina's closest friend before her past life ended.
School was rough for her. In elementary, she dealt with the usual bullying: getting teased, left out, and having her things stolen or hidden by classmates. The isolation got to her, and she withdrew into herself, developing a real fear of being around other people.
