Conti plays as a midfielder and wears #7. He's essentially a fictionalized version of real Italian player Bruno Conti. Interestingly, in the Italian version of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, his name got changed to "Ponti"—probably to keep things from getting too confusing with the actual Bruno Conti.
