In the classroom though, he flips a switch and becomes strict with his students. He's a drinker who genuinely enjoys alcohol, though it comes with a major catch: he becomes aggressive and volatile when drunk, which doesn't exactly help his case for stability.
The guy's also sharp in a way that can be uncomfortable. He's willing to manipulate people close to him if it serves his goals. His friendship with Hatanaka Izuna goes way back to school, and the two have this constant bickering dynamic going on—though they clearly enjoy stirring up trouble together.
