Ikki's officially a bronze saint, but don't let that fool you—his raw power easily outclasses most silver saints, and everyone knows it. Even as a kid running with a hundred other orphans, he was the toughest of the bunch, always stepping in to protect his younger brother Shun from the others. When it comes to pure strength among the bronze saints, Ikki's got no real competition.
Personality-wise, though, he's basically nothing like Shun. While Shun is gentle, emotional, and caring, Ikki's the opposite: cold, aggressive, and harsh. He's a loner through and through. Wolf Nachi once said it was hard to believe they were even brothers, given how opposite they are.
What makes Ikki really interesting is his cosmos itself. According to Kanon and later Pandora, it's unlike any other—burning with hate, anger, and raw aggression, but somehow guided by his love for Shun, his friends, and Athena. He hates teamwork, but the moment Athena's saints are in trouble, he shows up. Usually at the last second to pull Shun out of death's door. Enemies never see him coming, which has saved everyone's skin more than once.
Beneath all that harshness, though, Ikki's genuinely noble. He's mature, and he won't hesitate to lay down his life for the people he cares about. He's a complex character—way more layered than he first appears.
