Champa is the God of Destruction for Universe 6, and his name—like those of all the Gods of Destruction and their attendants—comes from an alcohol: champagne. He's Beerus's brother, which shows in their similar cat-like appearance, though Champa is noticeably rounder and has a shorter tail. His outfit mirrors Beerus's too, just swapped to red instead of blue.
What really defines Champa, though, is his impatience and his obsession with food. He and Beerus constantly try to one-up each other with "food showdowns," treating culinary competition like it's the most important thing in the universes.
He first appears alongside his attendant Vados, destroying planets across Universe 7 while searching for a specific one. When they encounter Goku, Vegeta, Whis, and Beerus after Frieza's second death on Earth, Champa immediately challenges Beerus to a food showdown. He's quickly won over—by instant ramen, no less. Earth's got the good stuff, and Champa wants it badly. Back in Universe 6, Earth was devastated by a massive human war, so he's got a particular reason to be interested. Desperate to get his hands on unlimited ramen, Champa bets everything on a 5-on-5 tournament between hand-picked fighters from both universes.
