Presea is Cephiro's premier blacksmith and one of Clef's star pupils. She's best known for forging the Magic Knights' legendary Escudo swords, and fans often note the obvious crush she harbors on her teacher. As a Pharle—Cephiro's term for master artisans—she holds serious respect in her field.
What really stands out about Presea, though, is her sadistic streak. Both the anime and manga play this up relentlessly: she dreams up increasingly elaborate punishments for Mokona (ear-yanking, hanging him upside-down while she does a Native American war dance, prying his permanently shut eyes open). When the Magic Knights accidentally trigger one of her traps, she casually weighs whether to stretch their cheeks or boil them alive—complete with feathered headdress and dance routine.
The anime version kills her off via one of Ascot's summoned beasts, which created a genuine plot hole since she's alive in the manga. The second anime series fixed this by introducing her identical twin sister, Sierra, who impersonates Presea to continue her legacy and help the Knights. Clef, Mokona, and Alcyone all see through the deception—Alcyone especially, who recognizes that Sierra's motivation comes partly from her own feelings for Clef. When confronted, Sierra won't fully admit it, claiming she just wants to honor her sister's work.
Her favorite snack is V-tek, a Cephirian candy, though she's also developed a taste for the Earth sweets Hikaru brought her.
