Bakken is the third fighter for Team Masho (the Shadow Channelers), and he's basically all muscle and no brain. He's got pretty much zero honor too. The team's owner gave him a massive advantage by letting him fight Kurama while Kurama was still knocked out from his previous match. Yusuke was about to lose it and break the rules to help his teammate, but Risho stepped in and ordered Bakken to back off before things got worse.
When Bakken actually faced Yusuke in a real fight, it was over fast. Yusuke beat him without much trouble. Bakken's ability is water manipulation—he sweats constantly and uses it to create a thick fog that hides him from opponents. The trick doesn't work if he's sweating cold sweat though, which is exactly what happened after Yusuke punched him hard in the ribs.
