Wang Shuang was basically the first real cultivator Wang Lin met after arriving on Planet Zhuque—and more notably, the first person he encountered who'd actually reached the Ji Realm. Even more specifically, Wang Shuang had achieved the Five Colored Ji Realm, which made him a pretty significant encounter early on in Wang Lin's journey on the planet.
