He showed up in the episode A Ghost of a Chance, where he tried his sales pitch on the main cast—though Ash immediately pegged him as running a scam and walked away with Misty. Brock was briefly tempted, joking that he'd buy it if it could find him a girlfriend instead.
Infernando had better luck with James, who he managed to convince to buy the detector using money that Jessie and Meowth had given him for food. James then actually used the device across two episodes: A Ghost of a Chance and From Ghost to Ghost.
