Rosa Royal Ivy is the Queen of Freesia alongside her husband Albert, and mother to Pride and Tiara Royal Ivy. She's known for being a capable but meddlesome ruler, and carries the precognition powers that run through the female line of the Freesian royal family.
The defining moment of her life came when her precognition revealed a dark future: Pride would become a tyrant. Devastated by this vision, Rosa made the brutal choice to cut ties with her eldest daughter and eventually abandon her entirely. Rather than accept this fate, Rosa decided to have another child—Tiara—hoping to find in her a worthier heir who could unite the kingdom and stand against the coming darkness. This abandonment sent Pride spiraling and set the stage for much of what followed.
In the original timeline, Rosa's health deteriorated after Albert's death, and she died before she could undo the damage. With Rosa gone and no one to guide her, Pride ascended to the throne far too young and became the very tyrant her mother had foreseen—eventually imprisoning Tiara and becoming the final boss of the first Our Ray of Light game.
But things have changed. In the current timeline where Pride has been reincarnated, Rosa's perspective has softened. She's come to see her oldest daughter in a better light, suggesting that second chances and redemption might actually be possible after all.
