Gaoshun serves as Jinshi's right hand, handling the bulk of administrative work across both the inner and outer palace. Basically, he exists to make his master's life easier—which, given Jinshi's tendency to delegate everything, is no small task. He's the one actually getting things done while Jinshi floats around being mysteriously beautiful and unhelpful.
