Adol Christin
Adol is the series' main protagonist, and he's got an almost supernatural talent for showing up exactly when and where things are about to get interesting. He's also notorious for falling into the ocean with remarkable consistency—and somehow always washing ashore near whoever the game's heroine happens to be, conveniently close enough to be rescued and nursed back to health.
His background is pretty sparse. He grew up in a small, unnamed village in the mountains, born into a peasant family living an ordinary life. His father taught him what he needed to know, but everything changed when a traveling stranger rolled through town. That encounter planted the adventure bug in him hard. He set out on his first journey at sixteen and never really stopped.
