Yukihiko Kitawaki is the eldest of the Kitawaki children in Ayatsuri Yashiki. His family lives nomadically in a truck, traveling across Japan to perform puppet shows—something Yukihiko's genuinely skilled at. He's particularly attached to a puppet named Jean-Pierre, though he harbors an unusual philosophy about their relationship: he's convinced that the puppets actually control them, not the opposite way around.
Like his brother Haruhiko, Yukihiko struggles with the constant traveling lifestyle. He longs to stay in one place and build real friendships, which eventually becomes too much to handle. This frustration ultimately drives him to run away from home.
