Nobuo Tanaka
Nobuo Tanaka is a lab technician who becomes an unwitting biological weapon after a series of unfortunate events. Already sick with the flu, he stops by a doctor's office for a shot before heading to work at a bio-research facility. There, a coworker convinces him to take some mysterious pills left on the director's desk—pills that are actually part of a classified biological weapons program. When the experimental compound reacts with the chemicals from his flu vaccination, Tanaka's body chemistry goes haywire. He develops a lethal body odor so potent it functions as a chemical weapon.
The horrifying reality hits when Tanaka wakes from a nap to find the entire facility staff dead, though he initially convinces himself they're just unconscious. He reports the incident up the chain of command and receives orders to transport some documents and the drug sample to Tokyo. It doesn't take long for the research company's leadership and the Japanese military to figure out what's happened—Tanaka himself is the source of the poisonous gas. They immediately decide he's too dangerous to live and dispatch the self-defense forces to intercept him before he can reach Tokyo and potentially expose a massive population center to his lethal presence. His attempt to complete his orders becomes a desperate race against the military hunting him down.
