Kiyomi's been Kazama's childhood friend forever, though she's never told him she's had feelings for him the whole time. She knows about his terminal illness and desperately wants him to get the surgery that could save his life—which puts her at odds with Eba, whose hesitation about it drives Kiyomi crazy. With Haruto backing her up, Kiyomi keeps trying to confess to Kazama, but it never goes anywhere until she finally just blurts it out at his pre-surgery party in chapter 99.
She ends up at Seijo University alongside Haruto, Asuka, Nanami, Takashi, and Akari. It's there that she and Takashi actually get together. Their relationship takes its time developing—they're pretty different people—but things eventually get physical between them.
