Huo Yuhao is fundamentally kind and generous—he'll help anyone who needs it. He's driven and dedicated to his goals, pushing himself hard to succeed. That said, his past has left him guarded around others, and it's shaped him in ways he hasn't fully overcome. Beneath his good nature lies a narrow streak and a simmering resentment that, when touched on anything connected to his history, can cloud his judgment entirely.
He's the illegitimate son of the Duke of the White Tiger Clan and a maid. When the Duke went off to war, his Duchess took control of the estate—and she saw Huo Yuhao as a threat to her own children. She locked him and his mother away in a shack and spread rumors that his mother had caught some contagious disease. The isolation and poor living conditions were brutal. His mother, never particularly healthy to begin with, got sick and died when Huo Yuhao was only ten. Her death crystallized something in him: a vow to become a powerful Spirit Master and get revenge.
He awakened his Spirit at age six to something genuinely rare—a body spirit called Spirit Eyes. His Spirit Power came in at rank 1, though, and it took him five years just to reach rank 10, a slower progression than most people experience. That early struggle was just the beginning of a harder path.
