Makoto Misumi is one of three World Travelers summoned to the Goddess's World—though "summoned" is generous, considering how badly things went for him.
He was supposed to be the only one sent over. His parents had made a contract with the Goddess, and everything was set. But the Goddess has her own ideas about beauty standards, and Makoto didn't meet them. So she did what any reasonable deity would do: she dumped him in the Wasteland at the edge of her world and quietly kidnapped two other people from Earth to be her proper Heroes instead.
Tsukuyomi, the Moon God and the middleman who'd brokered the whole deal, felt bad about how things shook out. He found Makoto and gave him a blessing, telling him to live freely and do whatever he wanted. Which, given the circumstances, seems like the least he could do.
