Komi Shouko is known around school as basically perfect—stunning, graceful, the kind of person everyone admires from a distance. Except she can barely talk to anyone. Her anxiety is severe enough that she's practically mute in day-to-day life, terrified of saying the wrong thing and getting rejected. It's bad enough that it genuinely qualifies as a communication disorder.
Despite this, she's got a concrete goal: make 100 friends. It might sound impossible given how locked up she gets around people, but she's determined to push through it.
The catch is that only one person at school actually knows what's going on—Tadano Hitohito, a classmate who figured out her secret. Rather than spreading rumors or treating her like she's broken, Tadano decided to help. He's basically become her wingman in the friendship department, coaching her through conversations and introductions with their classmates. Together, they're working to turn her dream of a full friend group into reality.
