A judge of magic law and Goryo's personal assistant. Ebisu is genuinely skilled at what he does—handling everything from scheduling and meals to driving and wardrobe management—and he's known for being an early riser who doesn't need an alarm. But put him up against other judges solo, and he falls short pretty quickly.
The weird thing about Ebisu is his relationship with Goryo. His boss treats him like garbage, with less dignity than you'd give a stray dog, yet Ebisu doesn't really care. He's got this deep psychological need to feel useful and wanted, and being Goryo's assistant gives him a way to chase that validation. Even when Goryo fires him for messing up a tough job, Ebisu convinces himself it was the right call for the team. He'd literally do anything to get back in his boss's good graces, including stepping aside completely if it meant Goryo wouldn't be disappointed.
With literally anyone else, though? Completely different person. He's crude, lewd, and arrogant as hell—constantly showing off his rank and going out of his way to demean people. He's not squeamish about dirty work either. He's even willing to drain an innocent person's tempering if it gets the job done.
