He founded and runs the eyeglasses club, where he's basically the president and driving force. Best known for his almost religious devotion to glasses—his whole philosophy boils down to "No Megane, No life." He's got a pretty specific worldview: humanity splits into three groups: people with glasses, people without glasses, and "the ladies." Yeah, that's how he sees it.
He's the passionate type who'll argue endlessly with his own club members over glasses-related issues. He's especially harsh on anyone wearing contacts, calling them "weaklings!!" Square-framed glasses are his thing, and he's got genuinely terrible eyesight at 0.03 in both eyes (using Japanese prescription standards).
Personality
Despite his intensity about eyewear, he's kind of a mess in other ways. He's the reckless one of the group—constantly getting into trouble with teachers and making risky calls. Funny enough, though, he's got an embarrassing weakness: bugs absolutely terrify him, particularly praying mantises. There's something almost endearing about how a guy so committed to being tough about glasses completely falls apart at the sight of an insect.
