Darui is a jounin from Kumogakure who serves as the Fourth Raikage's right-hand man and commands the First Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces. He's best known for his laid-back personality—the kind of guy who'll just use the door instead of dramatically throwing himself through a window like his boss does. Despite the mellow vibe, he's genuinely devoted to the Raikage and won't hesitate to jump into a fight if needed. He's got a habit of calling everything "dull," which fans often note is a running gag tied to his name, and he apologizes constantly—sometimes for stuff that isn't even his fault.
Physically, Darui is fairly tall with dark skin, white shaggy hair covering one side of his face, and a perpetually tired-looking expression. He wears the standard Kumogakure jounin outfit and carries a distinctive broad, cleaver-like sword on his back that folds in half for transport. His chakra reserves are impressive enough that he used three of the Sage of the Six Paths' legendary tools and still had energy left to fight.
