A Purist faction officer in the Imperial Army, he was one of Jeremiah's loyalists during the early conflict. When Zero first appeared and Jeremiah's questionable decisions allowed the suspected terrorists to escape alongside Suzaku Kururugi, he turned against his former commander. He rallied the other Purist officers in a coup attempt to assassinate Jeremiah, though it ultimately failed. He was killed in combat when his knightmare took a direct hit from Kallen's Guren Mark II—and worse, his ejection seat malfunctioned, leaving him no way out.
