"I love the sky."
Masaya used to live by those words, back when flying meant everything to him. These days though, he's grounded—hasn't taken to the air in a long time. But there's always that possibility hanging over him: the right person (or maybe the right people) showing up at exactly the right moment could change everything.
He's stubborn about himself, which is kind of his thing. But he's weirdly invested in other people—specifically in making them feel what he feels about the sky, even though he can't quite explain why that matters to him so much.
