Takao is the Mental Model of the Takao-class Heavy Cruiser, a Fog Ship. She's best known for defecting after a failed battle against I-401, becoming obsessed with making Gunzou her captain.
Early on, Takao came across as pretty arrogant and self-absorbed, with a flair for the dramatic. But losing to I-401 was a wake-up call. She spent time around humans afterward, genuinely thinking about how to become better—a shift that actually stuck with her.
