Steely Dan is arrogant and cruel, convinced his Stand makes him untouchable and using it to mess with Jotaro however he wants. His cockiness really shows when he pays some kid to smack him with a broomstick—but after getting hit twice, he snaps and punches the kid himself. Once his Stand goes down and he's actually vulnerable, he completely falls apart, desperately trying to win Jotaro over and even offering to hand over all the money Dio paid him for the job.
