Emiru Hazaki is a tall girl with long blonde hair styled in two long ponytails that extend to her thighs, brown eyes, and pale skin. She lost her parents in the Lightless Realm as a child and was taken in by relatives, though their interest in her was purely financial—they were motivated by disaster insurance payments. With no genuine affection from her guardians, she faced neglect and bullying throughout school. By the time she finished junior high, she was already working to support herself, taking a job as a janitor at Akashi's school before her life changed direction.
Her turning point came when a man unexpectedly offered her a spot in the Special Investigation Team Training Program. Once in the program, Emiru made it her mission to win Akashi over, carefully orchestrating moments between them. Akashi, however, wasn't interested. He consistently shut down her advances and rebuffed any attempt she made to get closer to him.
