One of the world's three greatest spears, this weapon was forged by the legendary swordsmith Gojou Gisuke (also known as Yoshisuke) in Suruga Province's Shimada region. The spear gets its name from the oversized scabbard it was fitted with—a necessity born from the Sankin-kotai, the feudal system that required regular processions of daimyo and their retinues.
Built specifically for piercing attacks, it's known for working well alongside its paired wakizashi, which complements its fighting style.
