Aoi debuted in the World Youth saga and was previously the number 12 for Nakahara FC before heading to Italy to train. Before leaving Japan, Tsubasa gave him three coins that he's kept as lucky charms ever since.
He spent time at FC Inter Milan, where he befriended Gino Hernandez but developed a rivalry with Gentile. After two years there, he was called back to the Japanese Youth Team for a match against Thailand. He eventually left Inter to join Albese, a Serie C1 club.
Known for his exceptional speed and technical skills, Aoi became close friends with both Tsubasa and Misaki, the three forming what fans call the "Golden Trio."
