Yù-Líng is Pān Guāng-Lín's sister and Kenshirō's wife. She's best known for her complicated journey from devoted caregiver to reluctant warlord—and the amnesia plot that tied them together.
She first met Kenshirō when he showed up half-dead, and she nursed him back to health. The two fell hard for each other, though her adopted father had already promised her to Máng Kuáng-Yún as a debt payment. When Kuáng-Yún found out about her feelings for Kenshiro, he erased her memory and dumped her with a nomadic warlord in Northern China.
What happened next shaped who she became: stranded and amnesiac, Yù-Líng survived by becoming Lǐ Xiù-Bǎo, a horse bandit leader running guerilla operations against Japanese forces. She picked up Praying Mantis martial arts and developed a serious grudge against the Japanese occupation. She seemed to have Christian faith, though that faded into the background during her years as a bandit.
Everything changed when she ran into Kenshiro again in Shanghai. Her memories came rushing back, and they married shortly after. When her brother Guāng-Lín got crippled in a botched assassination attempt, Yù-Líng took over leadership of the Qīng Bāng crime organization—not exactly the life she'd chosen, but the one she inherited.
